How They Voted

Montana's Congressional delegation split in its votes on the jobs bill promoted by President Barack Obama, with Senators Max Baucus and Jon Tester voting in support, and Rep. Dennis Rehberg opposing.  The bill failed to get a single Republican vote in the House, but garnered three Senate Republican votes.  Baucus and Tester praised the jobs bill, estimated to invest atleast $626 million in Montana, including $52 million for Montana energy and weatherization programs, in addition to the expansion of energy efficiency ax credits and more funding for clean renewable energy bonds to encourage alternative energy solutions.
