POSTPONED:

The Global Warming Workshop and training scheduled at the
Beartooth Wildlife Management area on July 28 has been
POSTPONED. Instead, we will be holding two one-day workshops:

The first will be in Billings on September 15, and the other will be held in Missoula on September 22.

You are invited to attend a workshop on Saturday, July 28, at the Beartooth Wildlife Management Area, near Wolf Creek, to learn about the science of global warming, achievable solutions, and how you can inform and engage others to get involved and help protect our fish, wildlife and hunting and angling heritage.

During the workshop, you will learn to give a presentation geared towards hunters and anglers about global warming, impacts to Montana's fish and wildlife, and what can be done to turn things around.

The scientific evidence regarding global warming is conclusive and overwhelming, with more information coming forth everyday. Those of us closest to the land are seeing the on-the-ground impacts first hand, consistent with what scientists have been warning about for years, including: warmer temperatures; diminished snowpacks; earlier snowmelts and runoff; less water for fish and irrigation; increased frequency and intensity of wildfire and mountain pine beetle infestations, with associated impacts to fish, wildlife and hunting and angling. This is the most urgent, critical issue facing wildlife today. However, there are solutions—but we need your help in reaching a diversity of grassroots constituents throughout Montana to create the political will to influence positive changes and protect fish and wildlife.

The workshop is free and open to all. Lodging is available on both Friday and Saturday nights, and breakfast and lunch will be provided on Saturday.

A draft agenda is attached below.
