Our Changing Landscape: Oil and Gas Development: Impacts to Wildlife, Hunting and Angling
As a Montana sportsman concerned about the future of your hunting and fishing traditions, you should plan to attend a symposium, "Our Changing Landscape: Oil and Gas Development: Impacts to Wildlife, Hunting and Angling," on Jan. 19, 2008. The symposium, organized by the Montana Wildlife Federation (MWF), will be held at the Best Western Heritage Inn at 1700 Fox Farm Rd. in Great Falls from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The agenda is below.
This symposium is just one of the activities jointly undertaken by a core group of Montana hunter/angler organizations urging a balanced approach to energy development in Montana - an approach that incorporates the habitat needs of fish and wildlife and conserves the hunting and fishing areas most important to hunters and anglers. The group includes MWF, Trout Unlimited, Montana Trout, National Wildlife Federation, Federation of Fly Fishers, Mule Deer Foundation, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership.
