Founded in 1991, the Montana Environmental Education Association (MEEA) unites, supports, and inspires individuals to be stewards of nature.  MEEA provides valuable resources to both formal classroom and non-formal educators across Montana, fostering excellence in environmental education.  Organized and led by a volunteer board of ten diverse individuals (formal and non-formal educators, conservation district coordinator, agency, and nonprofit) and supported by an interim part-time director, current MEEA activities include a listserv for networking, BugNet – a quarterly newsletter, curriculum, networking and training opportunities, and an annual conference.
