Last Day of Statewide Candidate Filing Period

March 20: Last day candidates may file a declaration of nomination or withdraw with their local election office for county offices or with the Secretary of State for presidential, federal, state, legislative, multi-county district, and legislative offices.
An application for an absentee ballot must be made during a period beginning on this date, 75 days before the primary election, and ending at noon the day before the election. Absent military and overseas electors are not subject to an earliest date to request absentee ballots.
