Please protect cancer funding!

 Dear Congressman Rehberg,

I’m concerned about your efforts to defund the Report on Carcinogens. With cancer rates rising sharply in this country, we need more information on toxic chemicals linked to cancer, not less.

When we go into a store to buy a product, there is no way to know if that product contains toxic chemicals – either by contamination, or intentionally used – that could combine with the other chemical exposure we all experience, to trigger disease.

Your committee rider that defunds the Report on Carcinogens (ROC) in the 2013 Appropriations bill is dangerous to public health in Montana. Please reconsider, and explain this dangerous move in a time with increasing cancer rates in the nation.
