Summer of the Bug, An Entomological Adventure

8am Tuesdays through 5pm Wednesdays: June 29-30, July 20-21, and Aug 17-18

What?
With trained camp staff and professional entomologist Ralph Scott, campers will learn about bugs, bug parts, bug behavior, and how to identify bugs around Billings. They'll also work on a research project, using pitfall traps and mark and recapture studies, analyze results, and create an original insect collection. In addition to bugs, camp will include exploration hikes around the 3,000-acre Cove Canyon campus, stories around a campfire, s'mores, sleeping in tents, and gazing at the night sky.

What to bring?
Pack a lunch for the first day, all other food provided.
Bring a tent (if you have one), a sleeping bag, and personal items
Wear long pants and good shoes, bring a hat and a jacket
Backpack, water bottle, sunscreen, notebook, and a sense of adventure!
This is an outdoor, overnight camp, so pack and dress according ly
