President Susan How, Somers is a photographer and business woman who first joined the Board as a representative from the Flathead MCV Chapter. How is a journalist and former Executive Director of the Flathead Land Trust, where she worked to preserve thousands of acres of farmland and open space in the rapidly-expanded Flathead Valley of Western Montana. Her involvement in MCVEF includes work on county commission and legislative voter education, as well as development of a local "cycle of accountability" bringing MCVEF together with allied groups to shine a spotlight on the votes and actions of city and county officials.
