I strongly support EPA’s proposed standards to reduce carbon pollution from new coal-fired power plants

Attention Docket ID # EPA-HQ‐OAR‐2011‐0660

Dear EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson,

I strongly support EPA’s proposed standards to reduce carbon pollution from new coal-fired power plants. Coal-fired plants account for nearly 35% of the greenhouse gas emissions in the U.S. Doctors, nurses and other health professionals agree that carbon pollution is dangerous to our health, especially for children and the elderly. We need to reduce the harmful impacts of carbon pollution and other pollutants from power plants. These proposed standards represent a critical step in addressing climate change and will help create more jobs in the clean energy economy. I urge that the final industrial carbon pollution standards be as strong as possible to protect our health and the health of our families.

Thank you. Sincerely,

Reduce Air Pollution
